Hello,

Thank you! A calotte is a small metal finding that has a ball that opens on one side so you can put your knot in there and then enclose it in it by closing the ball with a pair of pliers. The other side usually has a loop to hang it with.

On these, the other part needs to be bent to shape slightly to make a loop.
