Christmas Hearts Butterfly

I made another butterfly. I make them by putting three of Anne Bruvold's, Christmas Hearts together. This time the only picots in the center motif are the ones I used to attach the third element. It's sitting a little crooked here, but when's it's glued to a card, it'll straighten out.

Me, too! Great minds think alike, eh? I joined them a little differently than you did -- prob'ly because I hadn't intended to make a butterfly when I started. Beautiful! It's not crooked, either. It's just trying to fly to the right!

Marty, I really like your use of the contrasting thread around the hearts. It really defines the wings. Thanks to you and BattyTatter for sharing this technique. I made a butterfly with this pattern, but in a solid color. The varigated thread makes it so much prettier.
