I had seen Janet Smith's blue Christmas Heart butterfly and I liked the variegated blue, so I made one too.

Trust God to deliver in His own unique way.
Mine was solid teal, but I'm wondering about dong the rings in one color and the chains in a darker color. This pattern would be pretty done in Niagra Falls,
Blue River Glades or Scottish Thistle also!

In Costa Rica, in the mountains, there's a real blue butterfly thats bigger than the three hearts. I love it Great color choice.
Wow it's beautiful, I love the pattern. Is it your pattern or can I ask where you found it,
The colour you have used is beautiful, and looks like a real butterfly.

Poke around here. Pattern is by AnneB of dragons and hearts fame. Check her website or blog. I found it recently. Some other arrangements of multiple hearts can be found in Knots.
The butterfly is made by joining three Christmas Hearts (Anne B's pattern available on Knots) and adding a split ring head and antenna. It was Cheryl's (Battytatter) idea to make the butterfly using the hearts.

Nice colors. I made the Christmas heart doily with the rings in one color and chains in another it is very striking. I think I need to do one too!
Try, try, and try again...until the out come is presentable at least.....gc
The black outline is really effective. Are you reducing the number or lengths of picots where the hearts join?
Very striking with the solid color outline!
