Thanks, Sarah! Great idea. Hmmm - I'll bet my beasties (3 indoor cats) wouldn't do as much damage if I put a the ball in something like that. They could definitely bat the thing further, but maybe with less tangling?
What a hilarious description - "beasties"! I'm gonna have to use that.
You know - as far as tangling goes I think it would depend on how much string gets pulled out. And that would depend on how much traction your shuttle or needle holding down the end of the thread has.
I have a dog. He just gets jealous and crawls on top of my projects, lol! Maybe you can stick your project in a gallon ziplock when you aren't holding it... : )
