I can't even open them, let alone save or print. Very disappointing! I have the newest upgrade for the PDF reader...I even did a fresh install...supposedly to "fix" any problems...nothing! I don't have any problem opening pdf's that are on my computer...just the ones online.

Have you tried using the right click on the link, choosing "save link as..." and saving? That way, you can bypass any problem due to the browser configuration... You don't need to *open* a file to be able to *save* it.

Quite possibly...I have some flat Mother of Pearl discs that would make nice earrings. Can you share your stitch count?

I'll share the "recipe" more than the stitch count, because I think it is key to make it fit your beads :)

Start just like Jane does with the flat bead strung in a thread loop, and start the chain - with a very small picot every two stitches, until you get around half the bead (it took me about 11 picots). Then, lock join to the thread holding the bead, and repeat the same count around the other side. I did the lock join where a picot was due, and did a very small picot in the same place. Finish the arc with a lock join to the starting point.

Then I went on with the chain in the same direction, doing * very small picot, two double stitches, very small picot, two double stitches, lock join to the next picot in the previous round - repeat from * all around. (The very simplest way explained in Patty's tutorial)

I used a small ring (I think 6 double stitches) to hold the ear wire.

I had intended on going round twice, but I was very pleased with how it looked so decided to stop there. I think the idea can take many fun forms depending on the beads and thread choices.

Lovely. Thank you for sharing the links and the recipe. I love wearing tatted earrings. They are eye catchers and discussion starters.
