    Default Tatting tools... beginner

Hello to everyone! this is my first post since i joined so if i missed any thread regarding tatting tools forgive me.
I was searching on line to see where to buy tatting needles, found some sites, but i'm not sure what to buy, since i'm a beginner in tatting .
I'm from Croatia and none here has heard of needle tatting, i don't believe there is even a word for it here!! and of course i couldn't find any needle to buy in my country, so i would love to order one set of needles that i could use the most, please some advice.
    Thank you.

Hey Taura!! Nice to meet you....I'm fairly new here too. Been here two weeks and that is also how long I have been tatting. I'm needle only and the best website I know of is hhtatting.com. Everything I have read say a size 5 needle is the most used. Perfect for beggingers. The also have a set that comes with a 3, 5, 7, and 8. Its only 12 dollars (US). Size 10 thread is great to start with or 20. I don't think I would go any smaller.
    Nice to meet you :)

be-stitched is another site to buy needles. She also has free patterns.

You can also use doll needles. Just use an Emory board to dull the tip. Handy Hands, Lacis and Roseground are all great nonlinear suppliers. Georgia Seitz has a beginners needle tatting set on her site as well.
