Playing in the Woods
It has been a relaxing and somewhat productive weekend in the Piney Woods! I tatted a motif this morning of 5 interlocking rings with floating rings then was inspired to tat a prototype this afternoon of 3 interlocking rings with interlocking floating rings. Keep in mind this last one is only a prototype- it is NOT up to my usual standards.

I think I'll expand the 5 interlocking ring motif into a pendant/brooch. What do you think?

I like the 5 ring one. I was thinking the 3 ring one reminded me of a key chain I once had. Does that one have sets of two small and one large floating ring, all interlocked on the center 3 interlocking? That looks interesting. Have to think about the construction method.

They are wonderful! I love the way the color shading fits the pattern, too. I don't think I could choose one over the other, they are both brilliant.

Looks great Rachel! Can't wait til I've mastered those pesky interlocking rings. But floating interlocking rings...!!!

Why not try the second design with 6 center rings for a very interesting snowflake?

There are black bears in the woods around here, but I have to watch out for the whitetail deer! They like to bed down in the thicket behind our garden. When I walk along the path to my tatting shanty, I often flush out a deer or two! They will run you over!!!Originally Posted by Ireneho

I imagine you know that deer WILL attack you, if they think your threatening their babies.
