    Batty Tatter,
yep, I know that. I've grown up in the Piney Woods and am very comfy in nature. Louisiana is known as the "sportsman's (& woman's) paradise" for a reason. We are very active with outdoor activities year-round. I am very careful and my dogs are always with me. Not much cares to take on a pack of catahoula curs and American bulldogs!

I used to trail ride in the Rockies with my dad. Those are great memories. We did see a griz once. He was more scared of us then we were of him. The horses could hear him and were all looking in his direction, across the river. So, we were prepared.
What do your Catahoula dogs look like?
Trust God to deliver in His own unique way.

Batty Tatter, I am SO jealous!!! You got to see a griz in the wild! The most dangerous thing I've encountered (other than copperheads, rattlesnakes & water moccasins) was a ticked off wild sow with a few piglets. She was not happy for me to be in the woods. After mock charging me and squeeling a bit, she took off.

I don't think I have any good images of my husband's curs. They are called "leopard" dogs due to their spots and mottled coloring. I do have an image of my "baby" Lily Fey. She is a 125 pound Old Southern variety American Billdog. Here she is:

    I am always well protected!

    Befriend a bambi!

Bulldogs are banned in NSW and some other states in Australia. Cos they attack ppl and some have been known to maul children beyond repair.
